Project Overview

VAIL wanted a dynamic and engaging promotional video to boost interactions and downloads. My task was to showcase the game's high energy and engagement, fun, and incorporation into the VR ecosystem and DREAMHACK culture in a way that would captivate potential gamers.

Pre-Production

I started with trying the game myself. Researching and planning for being able to explain the gameplay and enviroment to newcomers. I scouted locations to capture engaging gameplay on the Dreamhack floor, as well as setting up spaces for interviews about how the players felt about the game.

Filming

Over the course of three days, I filmed in various locations on the Dreamhack floor. Using high-definition cameras and equipment, I captured thrilling emotions and engagement with Vail on VR Villa Branded Meta Quest 2s and Meta Quest 3s. Interview with players and families added a personal touch, highlighting their experiences and recommendations.

Post-Production

In post-production, I edited the footage to create a visually appealing and engaging narrative. I incorporated background music to drive the emotion and enhance the overall feel of the video. Color grading and special effects were used to ensure each scene was vibrant and appealing.

Final Product

The final promotional video was a vibrant, engaging piece that highlighted the best of VAIL at Dreamhack. It has been used in various marketing campaigns, on social media platforms, and at VR Villa shows, significantly boosting interest and inquiries to the game and brand.
